Main Points of 2023 Budget Relief for Govt Employees

  • For the Federal Govt employees the Ad-hoc Relief Allowance 2016,17,18,19 and 21 will be merged in Basic pay scale 2017 with effect from 1st July 2022, thus introducing new pay scales i.e. BPS 2022
  • Grant of 15% Ad-hoc Relief Allowance on the running Basic pay of 2017 to all Federal Govt employees with effect from 1st July 2023.
  • The existing rate of Pension (i.e. 10%) allowed in March 2022 to pensioners of the Federal Government will be enhanced to 15% with effect from July 2022.
  •  Executive Allowance will be granted to the officers working in the Federal Secretariat in BPS 17 to 22 @ 150% of basic pay, with effect from 1st July 2022 in line with that granted by all provincial governments.
  • The Disparity Reduction Allowance 2022 @ 15% (Already provided to BPS 1-19 in March 2022 will be extended to the officers in BPS 20 to 22 on the existing terms and conditions with effect from 1st July 2023.
  • Conveyance allowance will be enhanced by 100% with effect from 1st July 2023.
  • Transport allowance will be granted to the officers working in the Federal secretariat in BPS 17-19 @Rs25.617 in place of conveyance allowance with effect from 1st July 2022.
  • The existing rates of qualification pays will be enhanced by 100% with effect from 1st July 2023.
  • Orderly Allowance will be increased from Rs.17500 to Rs.25000 w.e.f 1st July 2023
  • The existing rates of Driver salary embedded in Transport Monetization will be enhanced to Rs.25000 with effect from 1st July 2023.
  • Entertainment allowance will be abolished w.e.f 1st July 2023.
